Report on today’s prestigious event at the Turin international book fair

 

On Friday, May 10, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Turin (Italy) at the Salone del Libro (Turin International book fair), Arena Piemonte, Pad. 2

 

Prof. Paolo Sabbatini,

 

Director Emeritus of the Italian Institute of Culture in Shanghai, China, current Ambassador for Italian-Chinese cultural relations of the World Institute for Sinology and Full Professor at ECPD,  Chief Of Protocol of the Knights’ Association of Saint Silvester, was the guest of honour of the regional government of Piedmont at the event entitled:

 

"Father Matteo Ricci and the Memory Palace: Donation to the Piedmont Region of the reconstructed work of art".

 

During the same event, Prof. Sabbatini donated some copies of his volume entitled “A Six-handed Book - Crossed Stories of Matteo Ricci, Xu Guangqi and Sabbatino de Ursis in the Words of the Descendants and Epigons” into the hands of the regional Councillor for International Decentralised Cooperation Dr. Maurizio Marrone.

 

The event was introduced by Prof. Giuseppe Parisi, delegate for Piedmont and Val d'Aosta of the Knights’ Association and delegate of  FIDAE, Italian federation of catholic schools established by the Vatican. 

 

This prestigious event is a further stage in the finalisation of an inter-university agreement between ECPD and the University of Turin under the aegis of the regional government.
