ECPD PROGRAM ON ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY, LOBBYING AND NEGOTIATIONS

ECPD PROGRAM ON
ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY, LOBBYING AND NEGOTIATIONS

Excellencies, distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

In 2019 ECPD has successfully established a new Program on Economic Diplomacy, Lobbying and Negotiations (EDLN) – providing postgraduate education, training and consulting services. The Program is led by Professor Dr Boris Cizelj, former Yugoslav Ambassador in Australia and Slovenian Ambassador in EU and NATO, founder and long-time director of Slovenian lobbying office in Brussels.

In order to respond to various interests among diplomats, business representatives and others operating in the region of Western Balkans, we have developed a range of services supporting your capabilities to deal with professional communication challenges in the respective domains.

Intensive developments and major changes in the ways interest representation is successfully performed nowadays, require new approaches and methodologies – based on knowledge and skills, which few people had the opportunity to acquire during their studies, vocational training, and even during in-house briefings, before starting their current function in the region. On top of that – more than ever before – your interlocutors and negotiation partners will expect you to be well familiar with the specific regional culture and business habits. You are expected to know them and if your partners will feel that you do not respect the local culture – it will impact your relationship negatively. Actually, your success will indeed depend on these insights and “soft skills” which we cover with the top Faculty of experienced practitioners with outstanding academic background.

The region of Western Balkans is a classical multicultural environment, with subtle nuances and regional characteristics, and in addressing these in line with its mission, the ECPD is happy to provide various formats of education, training and consultancy. We do this in flexible formats and perform in classical, mixed or completely online options – taking into account the conditions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemics.

The next lobbying course (online participation is also possible) is scheduled for 10-12 June 2021, and the negotiations course for 27-29 May 2021. Since number of participants is limited to 15-20, you are kindly advised to register early since we close registrations 2 weeks before the course.

From the attached brochures you can choose between 2½ day intensive training courses in lobbying and negotiating techniques, or in a few weeks from any format of postgraduate courses on economic diplomacy (from 6-day course, 2-semester specialist, 4-semester MSc, 6-semester doctoral, to post-doctoral studies) – scheduled to start in October, 2021. You can also negotiate with us any of the three proposed individual package service agreements on complex consultancy services – answering your specific needs and priorities.

We can assure you that our individualized approach to every client institution offers maximum flexibility in contents to be covered, and executed with highest, result-oriented professional commitment of our Faculty, delivering services through intensive person-to-person communication, and up-to-date didactic excellence. Attending a 2½ day course actually covers an over 3-months interaction based on participants’ individual case - being elaborated and solved with highly qualified and experienced coaches.

Upon successful completion of any short training program, participants will receive an internationally recognised ECPD Certificate or Diploma, including ECPD  Credits, which are applicable in case of continuing degree studies at ECPD or elsewhere.

Please read the attached brochures carefully and confirm your interests. The Executive Program Coordinator MSc. Natalija Mrvaljević (This email address is being protected from spambots.
