The concept of an integrated health care system, although established in the 1980s, has been re-actualized and attracts the attention of various levels of professional and scientific public. The growing demands for health care, placing patients in the center of the system, gradual personalization of medical treatment and coping with austerity measures and resource constraints are the facts that set the integrated health care system as a serious challenge for every health manager.
Given the complexity of the subject, the Program of the XX ECPD International Summer School on Management in Health Care Institutions will open comprehensively a wide range of topics ranging from the integrated approach to creating health policies and strategies, through vertical and horizontal integration of the levels of health protection, modernization of access to health care institutions up to the issues relating to the scope of health services within integrated health care.
